Yes. ShalaDesk's exam module includes fully configurable grade bands. Administrators can set custom pass marks, grade letters, and grade points to match CBSE, MP Board, ICSE, or any custom grading system the school uses. Report card templates are generated automatically based on these settings.

ShalaDesk includes five built-in analytical reports: Student Performance Report, Class Performance Report, Fee Collection Report, Attendance Summary Report, and Teacher Performance Report. All reports can be exported to Excel or PDF directly from the dashboard.

ShalaDesk has a built-in SMS Wallet. When attendance is marked, the system automatically fires an SMS to the registered parent number — with the student's name, class, and date. School admins top up the wallet directly via Razorpay from the admin dashboard. No separate MSG91 account or WhatsApp Business setup is required.

Teachers mark attendance from their mobile browser. The system captures their GPS coordinates and verifies that they are within the school's defined geofence boundary before accepting the check-in. This prevents off-campus attendance marking. Admins define the school's coordinates and acceptable radius in the settings.

Yes. Students can submit leave requests from their portal with a reason and date range. Class teachers review and approve or reject the requests from their teacher portal. The system tracks leave balance per student and reflects approved leaves in the attendance records.

ShalaDesk uses annual licensing based on your school's active student strength. We avoid arbitrary per-student monthly fees — you pay one annual license fee that covers all modules, updates, and support. Contact us for a custom quote based on your school's size and requirements.

Yes. The VindhyaTech team offers complete support to clean and import your legacy student directories, class lists, teacher credentials, and historical fee structures into ShalaDesk. This is included in all plans at no additional cost.

ShalaDesk stores data securely with regular backups on OCI-compatible object storage. Login is secured via OTP-based verification. Role-based access control ensures each user can only access data relevant to their role — teachers cannot view payroll data, students cannot view other students' records, etc.
